Hello there,
My name is Andrew Marogil
I am best described as a jack-of-all-trades: UX designer, front-end developer, user
testing fanatic, and design system guardian. I like building cool things and solving
hard problems.
I work as a User Interface & User Experience designer based outside of Chicago.
Currently, I am designing world class e-commerce experiences at Dyson. I specialize
in user research, and testing. My technical toolkit includes a strong foundation in
Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite, which I regularly use to create prototypes,
visual specifications, and other artifacts to communicate design direction. In my
current role I create pixel-perfect interfaces, support end-to-end design iterations
for a site with nearly half a billion annual visits, and contribute to build a
globally accessible design system.
How I work
It's nice to meet you, lets talk about how I work
Ask first. Before jumping into designing I always make sure that we’re asking the right questions and trying to accomplish the right challenges. This stage includes market research, competitive analyses, consulting with stakeholders and exploring solutions.
Problem solving, understanding requirements, creation of low fidelity mockups and then to high fidelity pixel perfect designs at multiple breakpoints.
Moderated, or unmoderated, testing mockups, functional prototypes or mapping an IA. Testing and quantifying what success looks like is to me the most integral part of the process.
Bringing designs to life. Since I’m a UX designer who has a background as a front-end dev, I can easily work in close collaboration with developers up until the finish line.
